Yesterday was my the first good paddle for a while.

Here in Melbourne it's been stormy and raining lately a you really appreciate a good day when you get it.

Air temp 12 deg.
Water temp 12 deg.
Wind speed 0.

I just did my normal St Kilda paddle..I love that look of the sun shining on glassy smooth water.

The local pair of black swans know me now and I carry bread for them. Once they see me they come racing up to me for a feed.

It still scares the hell out of me when I hand feed them because they are pretty agressive..and they do have teeth.

It was pretty cold so I had my cycling jacket on cos it was a bit nippy.

I also had my new SUP hat on.. ..I need some of those new fur lined crocs for days like this..

It was feeling like Winter has gone and Summer is coming back..but when paddling back the clouds came over and it started turning back to Winter...Bugger!

Ahh yes that's the melbourne I know!

I was curious about feeding swans bread, it seems that if it's wholemeal then it's OK.

Thanks for the link nebbian...I often wondered about that.

They sure do love the white bread tho..even if it's not good for them.

I don't give them too much because I know you shouldn't do it.

They're not a very good shot when pecking the bread from my hand.

They almost always take my fingers with it. (they do grow back)..
