After much deliberation I have decided to finish up the production of Australian Paddle Surfer magazine with the current issue #2. Due to financial reasons I've had to go back to doing my 'day job' and unfortunately cannot find enough hours in the day to continue doing both.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported the magazine over the last six months - contributors, advertisers and readers.

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

Please tell me you haven't got 200 copies of each sitting under your bed as I'm going to keep mine, sealed in plastic for 10 years and sell them on ebay to fund my retirement.

Thanks Casso, firstly for a great mag and secondly for your honesty.Knowing when
to leave it also shows great maturity and integrity which is hard to find, you see so many busnesses stay right to the end and take those around them with them.
All the best in the future to you and your family.
Cheers mate.

Ah Casso... Well done.
The people that fail are usually those that have a go.
Join the Beatles, JRR Tolkien, Michael Jordan and Walt Disney.
They all failed in their early endeavors.
They all had the courage and faith to keep trying.
I hope you do so as well.

Casso well done on what you achieved. It is a shame that we will not be seeing another issue, but the first #2 are worth reading over and over again.
Thanks for all your hard work

Thank you Casso for 2 wonderful gifts to all of us. The quality of your work puts a lot of publications from major publishing empires to shame. Congratulations.

I feel for you - but please know that what you did was awesome and we loved it at my place. Thankfully we have 2 copies of the first edition - one is pristine order - the other dog eared to the max ( I have hidden the 2nd one)! Good luck with your next adventure and I hope it allows you lots of time to still hit the waves. Just remember Rome was not built in a day.........

We really appreciate your efforts!!!

Well done mate, you showed the true Aussie spirit of giving things a go.

By the positive forums on Seabreeze, you have obviously created a great mag and good following.

Dont bin it, just put it on hold until you have more time !!!

Hey Casso,

It was a ballsy effort to put out the mag and like your surfing you gave it everything!

The sport is so young maybe it was more a timing issue than anything else.

It might be interesting to see with so many of Seabreeze crew behind the mag that some how we could help to lighten the load a little and maybe its possible for APS to continue?

Just a thought.

I believe APS will be at the newsagents again!

Phill

Bummer Casso. That must have been a hard call to make for you, but I know how tough it can be doing the magazine thing, let alone starting your own business of any sort.

As everyone on here has said though they were 2 awesome issues!

Have to agree with the other posts too, my first thought when you said no time to do it anymore was that with all the support of the mag shown on here surely we could all pitch in in someway or other...

Anyway, here's hoping for issue #3 somewhere down the line!
