There's a brick load more volume in the mid section just like me

I did pick both boards up in the shop the other day and you can notice
the weight!I was thinking of going with the 11.6 because I wanted a good
flat water board but then I thought I might want to surf it,it didn't take long
second day and it's surfed, most of the time without me haha, takes a whole
new skill level balancing the dam thing in paddle stance in cross chop! However
I did manage a two hour paddle before hand.

I'm surprised that this has come up because I've not noticed any weight difference between my old 11'6" wood and my new 11'6" AST.

If it was any heavier I'm sure I would have noticed it.

I don't know how accurate my scales are but this is what I get....

11'4" wood... 11kg

My new 12' Glide... 11kg

My old 11'6" wood... 13kg

My new 11'6" AST... 13.5kg

and considering it has a bigger area of deck grip it should weigh a little more than my 11'6" wood.

I love my new 11'6" AST.

I like the white deck with the black print further up the board..and I don't mind the matt finish..and I like the fact that it was about $500 cheaper than the wood.

The other hot day at St Kilda I was taking some girls for a paddle with them sitting on the nose area.. On my old wood board they would have been slipping off.

I may be wrong but I don't remember seeing a siggie.. (although I wouldn't be surprised).

I thought she was just stopping me getting an eye full.. Not like the girl bending over behind letting it all hang out

Timing is everything..
