Thanks to everyone for their comments regarding the launch of the Stand Up World Tour. In response to this last post, we are based out of Hawaii, but it is a World Tour and the global aspect will grow from here. We had to start somewhere and here is the birthplace for the sport and a melting pot for amongst its greatest talent. We do however recognize how much talent there is coming from Australia, Europe, South America and many more. With regards to Australia in particular, our selected athletes will include Jamie Mitchell, Luke Egan and most likely Billy Watson too, so even from the outset, there is a solid and powerful Aussie presence. We also are looking at Peyo Lizaruzu and Stephane Iralour, big wave chargers from France that are deserving of recognition with what they are doing. Our goal is to progress and provide the proving ground for the world's greatest athletes and ocean sports entertainment at its best. Please keep the comments coming and we would love to set something up in Australia for 2010 - we have already started making inroads to this effect. Oh and by the way, we are not the ISA and this is different from their press release from a few weeks ago - the Waterman League is an independent ocean sports events and media organization sanctioned by the ASUPP to produce the Stand Up World Tour. Thanks again for all the input and feedback, and to Seabreeze for the platform!
