Aloha

Kids put together this vid of Noah. If no school or homework he's usually doing one or both of these 1 to 2 times a day. He's really trying to work on his rail surfing and in the pocket surfing. Hope you enjoy.

Going out on a limb here, this is the best SUP surfing i've seen, creativity, style, power, love it. Great stuff!

Yes, there's some really tight pocket surfing there. Well done. There's a very bright future for Noah. He was already very good 2 years back. It's fun watching the progress to date.

Look out Laird , ripping Noah love the way you come off the lip Heavy duty gym workout looks like it's paying off really powerful surfing.

awesome stuff

please be carefull with the training. The vertical pressups is what tore my shoulder up(due to an unbalance and partial dislocation) and it will never be right again....limiting some things I can do. For me in training, technique before speed or strength. Those will come so in better quality if technique is king. NEVER compromise in the gym (realisticaly its the one place you dont have to)

keep at it as long as it is fun

Thanks everyone.

Husq so far we have been lucky with the injuries and hopefully the crossfit people keep it that way. Noah's program is supposed to be for endurance and not becoming a bodybuilder.

definitly, can see the core work in most of that stuff. Whilst bodybuilding is a sport strength and speed is not its main goal.

noah's surfing is unreal. i guess the cross fit people know what their doing and a young body recovers so much faster, but i'm a tad worried about the burn out factor.

we see it on the goldie with young surfers going hammer and tongs then one day they've decided they've had enough. a few recovery rest days doesn't go astray.

i'm interested to know if noah has done or still does some short board surfing?

cheers

Lacey - He's been in the crossfit program for about 5 months I think. Anywhere from 4-6 days a week with sometimes 2 sessions a day. We do cheat and miss a few days if the surf is up. This is his choice because most times he has to bike to crossfit if I am working which is 7 miles each way.

He does short boarding some, long boarding a tad, alot of bodyboard surfing with no fins when there's chop and 25 plus winds plus he skateboards. His preference is SUP 95% of the time and will go out in some strong windy days because it's a challenge.

Never pressure from us and he can quit tomorrow and I would still love and support his interest. He is not looking for any legendary status or waterman status just being a kid having fun with hawaii's biggest playground.

Aloha

Byron

P.S. One of the reason's he got into crossfit was last winter he broke his leash alot and had to swim alot. He wants to make sure he can survive his homebreaks since he is the only kid/ Adult SUPer out there.

Great surfing...3:50 and 4:30 are awesome turns...something you'd expect from
someone twice his age and experience.
