Looks like we'll have to wait and see what happens here. Extendable paddles....like a chameleon tongue perhaps? Or, going with the technological advancement flow, perhaps one of those new-fangled hi pressure water pistols?
i have no issue with anyone filming themselves and learning from it, or saving it for posterity/old age envy at all, but I'll be disappointed if they're loud and ruin the ambience (think summer jet skis, anyone from Torquay...?) or if they keep showing extra aerial detail of special spots and blow the cover, allowing the masses to find relatively secluded breaks without earning their stripes.
if they're discreet and silent, it might be ok....just not if everybody has one. We could look froward to mid air collisions as self-directing drones simultaneously follow the 5 surfers taking off together on the one wave, jostling for best position, be just like surfing in a war zone.....Charlie don't surf.....
