Thanks SurfinJ,
The paddle mount is kind of weird, it always makes the waves look tiny! I think the still pictures from the paddle mount come out pretty good though. Definitely right about the spookiness. Really, really don't want to catch that freak big set and get pushed into the rocks. It is always so humbling out there.
Supmaori,
Gotta hit the north shore during our winter, although fall and spring are usually pretty good too. Most places I sup surf I am usually alone or maybe a few guys, but I usually am paddling out when it's still dark. South shore gets surf in the summer and there are also a lot of options there, I usually surf from break to break and try to find my own little in-between spot if I can. If you come in winter it all depends on what kind of wind we have at the time, certain winds will open up other areas of the island. Feel free to get in touch when you guys nail down a date, I can show you guys around, this place is kind of like a big ocean playground and I'm sure we'll find somewhere where you both will have fun.
Fantastic vid mate. Actually quite original. Heaps of Gopro vids look the same these days. Yours is nicely different.
Not to steal Supmaori's thunder but I'll be there next month. Would live to go for a wave with you if you're keen?
