10’ Naish Mana vs Coreban 10’ Icon.
Me: 5’10”. 77kg (s/b closer to 70kg).
Short, flat water paddles in the bay after work. When there are waves, surf knee to head high.
I live too far outside town to go home after work to pick up my board and drive all the way back to where I can paddle/surf, so I take my board into work with me. If there are no waves or if it’s too windy, I flat water paddle inside the bay, or up the river. Just short 1+ hour paddles. No open ocean paddling. Up to this point I’m still using my first board, an 11” NSP. It’s a great beginners board, but I’d like to move on to something with a bit more performance.
I really love the shape/design of the 10’ Coreban Icon, and it looks like it surfs really well (of coarse Ivan could probably make any board look good), but not sure if it’s really suited to flat water paddling. I hear many good things about the 10’ Naish Mana, but wonder if it’s enough of a change from the 11’ NSP I’m riding now. .No way to demo any of these boards, so I just have to put my money down and get what I get.

My 2 cents - I reckon the Naish is too big for your 70kg's. I would go the Coreban. I think it would surf better to.

i wouldnt worry too much mate, i just got a Coreban performer and paddles all day on a lake to get a feel for it (coming from a Naish 11,4). it works really well! i guess the icon should be even better...
