Imagine hooking on to a 25kg Mackeral or a big wahoo That I would love to see
You may have already seen them ! In Maui recently I saw some guys fishing off these purpose built sort of big double hulled windsurfers with crazy attachments all over them at least four big game rod holders and saftey Gadgets all over them, they go way out to sea and catch enormous fish, Crazy buggers !!

Thanks for that champcrow. Probably works well having the rod holder on the back of the board. Nice pic of the glide also.

I also thought that might be a new Naish Glide seeing it was from the Naish site..But it's not..

It's Dave Kalama way out in front in a class of his own in that big race not long ago.

I think Dave was on a big 16'er..I'm not sure what type...I think it's a SIC board.

He looks like he fastened it between the leash plug at the back of the Naish board and the mast plug at the center of the board.

Oliver I couldn't work that out.

Imagine if the rod came out and you fell back and sat on it.

It would either bring a tear to your eye..or put a smile on your face..

I think it's better set up at the front of the board. I reckon I'd fall in the drink at the first sign of hearing the the reel squealing behind me. I'd also hate to fall back on that rod holder - looks dangerous. I'd much prefer to see any potential fish action as it happens - all part of the chase.
