Summer was almost here in Melbourne today but the water is still pretty cold.

We go a solid 25-30 knots for pretty much the whole run and it was non stop runners and linking them was a piece of cake.

I'm not sure about this camera angle.. It doesn't really show how windy it is or how big the waves are and shame about the water drops.

Check out Pete's little head stand right at the end..

Unreal DJ.

114 views and 1 comment.....what gives with these guys ?

I'd expect there was 2-3 hours putting that together.

Either these guys don't downwind, don't appreciate the time it takes to put this stuff together or just want to take what's on offer without giving anything back.

Mate, a great piece - you got me stoked for another DW this week. Thanks.

Top vid Dj I recon that angle is really better than the looking forward angle , because we get the speed sensatation when you balance on the paddle , and also early on in the vid when yor racing past the nav marks , we get the sence of speed then also . nice work .

cheers

So much glide so little effort. This angle is certainly good for seeing the paddle action (or inaction) whereas the helmet cam view is not so much.

Thanks guys.. The paddling stroke may look a little odd at time and that's because I'm paddling wide on the right side to get the board to come around because we had a smidge of nor-east in it and it was easy to head too far off shore.. I'm making a camera mount that will sit the camera about 18" high off the deck so that might give a much better better angle.. It should also help with the water drops.. We'll see.

Here's part two from the same day and another track off the new Eric CLapton CD.. It's mostly just mucking around..

Yes I once had an extender for my camera mount. Unfortunately the extender and the camera are now sleeping with the fishes.

What do you prefer DJ board cam or head cam?

yes that tail mount angle is good as well, I recon both that and the nose mount looking back are much better than the head cam.

apart from the arse itch !!

Looks like your doing about 4 or 5 knotts ...hootin along !!!
