My vote is to get into the down-wind boards, although 24" is certainly on the thin side. I like the look of the Bill Foote boards. Here are some photos I pinched from the Zone.

The first two are 14' and super light weight - from memory under 9 kg and full carbon and I think 25" wide - I'll see if I can find the weight reference and confirm.





The next three are a 15' board - I think 27" wide







Love the simple clean shape, notice the first one doesn't even have a deck grip to keep it light, just wax.

Any ideas on a bottom shape?

Good question.. Dean I'd like to see pretty much the same thing as the 20'er.

It is for a non-planing hull right?. That Bill Foote board is a planing hull so that won't work IMO.

Just checked on the post on the zone about the Bill Foote board - under 20lbs without the fin!! So 9kg and it is 24" wide not 25.
