There's a bargain to be had this weekend only. Jamie Mitchell is demo'ing his 14' and 12'6" prototype race boards at the SHQ Cerberus event tomorrow and he doesn't particularly want to lug them both back to QLD. These 2 board designs will shortly go into mass production with a couple of tweaks but what you have here are the genuine prototypes priced to sell. And they're bloody quick. I paddled the 12'6" and even I could get it moving so that's saying something. Come down and have a look and demo for yourself.

Beautiful looking boards. What's the thinking behind the SLSA style handles?

Are they just an alternative to the carry handle for lugging the board to and from the beach? Or do they have a use on the water? Or perhaps for races that start/finish on the beach?

We all knew that was going to happen. There is a buy and sell on this forum that every other plebeian goes through to sell their old gear.

So apart from just boldly announcing "SOLD", how about telling the rest of the commoners what the full story is.

El-Presidente, unless you want an uprising, on the scale of what's been happening in Egypt, tell us the rest of the story:

How much ?
Who bought it?

Yes. Is he sending Paypal $28 for the 2 x boards that 'sold'.

Or are we all allowed a free forum topic to sell our next board ?

The plebs that is.

FOR SALE

One original aluminum Naish paddle. Purchased over 2 years ago as part of a package with an 11'6 Naish board. Hardly used in saltwater - goes real well, will suit beginner.

After six months duty in the ocean, the paddle was then acquired by a renowned but sadly disqualified Masterchef contestant, Greg Bremner, as a pizza flipper for his home outdoor pizza oven for the past year. The paddle has a few scars but is largely unscathed from the experience and is now looking to get back into the ocean.

$12.50 ONO

^^^ DJ, are you still up for Cat Bay tomorrow? ^^^^

Should be a great day, thinking of heading out to the island about 8:30am with Lisa, had more issues with the little one over the w/e - he's proving himself to be quite a handful, so sadly couldn't make it down today.

Look forward to all the news and pics.

Jamie heard that you were concerned by the $28 discrepancy so he has handed exactly $28 to a responsible delegate from SUP VIC. Unfortunately that delegate does not have a Paypal account so he is hoping he might be able to wire you the money and have you pay the appropriate person. All you have to do is email this guy on an oil rig off the coast of Africa...

I don't think the guys will mind me saying but Jamie was asking about two grand for the 14 and about 1500 for the 12'6".. That's a pretty good price I reckon for boards like these.

Jamie didn't ask me to advertise his boards here, I just thought someone here might be interested.. As it turned out it was just guys at the events that bought them.

No need for you to apologise DJ, wasn't your doing. Although if Laurie comes looking for a scapegoat, I'll happily point the finger your way.

having just purchased the 12'6 from the great man, when the opportunity arises I will post a lay persons perspective on the performance of the board, after my first paddle yesterday my immediate reaction was "whoa s*** this will be interesting"!

Jamie's new boards will be 'Pink'.

Here's a short vid that explains why.
