Heading up to Smith Lake this afternoon for a weekend of SUPing and wavesailing (hopefully) and wondered if anyone on seabreeze lived up that way and fancied showing me the best spots?

Cheers

I don't live there but have been there a lot. Heaps of good beach breaks. Can't go past Sealy's if the conditions are right (and it's not Easter/Christmas time):

Hey Ben

Celito Beach is the one directly at Smiths and hard to beat if it is blowing W, NW, N or NE, best access on the road south of the golf course. It's a long beach with plenty of space to sup. If it goes SW, S or SE go to Boomerang and Blueys 5 min away, but expect some company. If it goes SE and howls Forster breakwall on the northside is the go. (glad Termite isnt my real name - the local boys would smash me!)

Hope you get it good

Bill

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the info. I had Saturday and Sunday at Blueys with just a few mates. Great waves, a few different breaks and shared some waves with the local dolphins. Can't wait to go back!
Cheers

A couple of pictures of Blueys Beach (I think!) from the weekend. They are a perfect example of why I SUP and why people need to chill out a bit and enjoy what the sport has to offer!

A great wave for some off the shoulder rebounds...

Being crowded off a wave by a pod of dolphins make a change from the Brazilians at Manly!

Nice. How clean is the water up that way? Great, consistent waves at the beaches in that little stretch - pretty much guaranteed a fun session on any day.

Mate, what a cracker!
Friday at Blueys for a twilight SUP and also Boomerang on saturday and sunday. It has to have been one of my best weekends to date, with saturday being the pick. There were some decent sets rolling through, the sun was shining, a few good mates spread nicely around the peaks and a pod of dolphins to keep us company. Just wish i wasnt so camera shy as i would have loved a few shots for the archives. Time to book up the next winter surf weekend up/down the coast!
