Hi all - has anyone ridden this board yet ?
I've surfed the Starby 8.2 WP and loved it but would love to get feedback on the JP - and it would be a bonus if someone has ridden both.
Please - no team rider review of the board.

Hiya,
I was going to do a review on the JP surf when I'd got to surf it more, Mine got delivered 10 days ago, I got the carbon, not quite as light as the SB, but not much difference, great handle, loud spray job, that yes gets very hot if left in the sun bottom up even for a few minutes. I had 1 tiny surf on it the next day then pulled the tendons in my foot so have been pretty much out of the water since then, but i couldn't wait any longer so had a couple of surfs on the weekend with a heavily strapped foot.
In one word, FUN! For it's length it paddles well goes over flat spots well, picks up waves reasonably well, if it's windy, it's still super stable and yes really fun to surf.
I am 80kg and think it'll get a lot of work this summer in small surf, will have to see how it performs in bigger stuff, I have never been a fan of 4 fins but I am enjoying this. I have changed the fins to a HI-1 FCS quad set, but cant really say at this stage if there is much difference.
Also I have tried the SB 8'2" WP and I prefer the JP, I think the SB is designed for someone with more weight who wants a short board, I found it just felt a bit to corky.
I like the fact the jp is just under 4 inches thick giving the feeling of being part of the wave more, if I weighed another few kilos I might go for the SB.
When my foots better and i've had a few more surfs, I'll post a more concise review.

Thanks mate. Im about 72kg but struggle with some old injuries and am nearly 50 - so I cant and dont wanna do it too hard anymore.
I too found the SB 8.2 too corky but really loved its feeling of being "attached" to you in the surf.
The heating up is a concern - do you think its the colours or construction ?

I think it's colours, and if you leave it deck up, doesn't get anywhere near as hot,
I'd never normally leave my board in the sun like i did but, being 'Mr hobble' it took me ages to change and bandage up my foot, and did leave it flat on the ground bottom up in the direct sunlight, shame i didn't have any eggs in the car:)
