Applying rail tape

Any thoughts on wet vs dry method.
I have SUP ATX branded tape with 3m written on it.
No instructions.

i've only ever done rail tape dry, time is your mate so just take your time and dont rush.

Make sure rails are clean and dry and I do my boards on their side and stand holding the board between my legs - starting at front of board.
I also press the tape down firmly as I go - line up maybe a foot at a time then press it down and rub with your thumb getting most of the air out.
When you finish one rail run thumb/hand along rail firmly and also go over firmly with a rag or similar.
If you end up with any bubbles you need to put a small pin prick in them and force air out with your fingers - dont be tempted to pull the tape up (if you like your rail paint)

With cheap tape, go wet.

With professional railsavers, go dry. If in doubt, have a look:
