Everyone is doing extensions these days. Kelly has got a brown room now.

Awesome bit of tech. Would like to see the mechanics of it. I imagine it takes a fair bit of energy to move that amount of water around.

Incredible. But I'd guess that it will cost about 20 dollars a wave to use it, when Joe Public actually can.

It might be *too* good, and spoil you for the real world. How many places have a wave like that?

But for elite sponsored riders who want to work on their tube riding, or obscenely rich playboys in Dubai who want to show off to their mates, it would obviously be great. Good for advertising pics too, if they can sort out the water colour. I wonder how it copes with a stiff "onshore" breeze.

GC super bank is just like that but when its fires even when it doesnt it has 100s and 100s lined up fighting for the swells so my guess is if you can have a wave like that and be the only one on it. Then what ever the cost is many a many aussies would drop the cash to ride it.

I got no idea about the engineering side of things. it would take a **** load of power and energy to produce the wave but surely that energy is being captured and cycled back To keep it running which in that case it wouldn't be that expensive would
It?

... or book a wave coach and do 20 takeoffs in succession and get your steep wave technique wired then go and rip it up in the ocean.

It's no different to skaters learning in a skate park or motocrossers training for big air in a dedicated facility.

If you could get it for $20 a wave it would be cheap. That's the cost of a few ice creams at dreamworld.
It'll never replace all the great things the ocean has to offer, but I'd hand over a few bucks to try it !

Makes Olympic competition more of a reality. All they need to do is work on the judging.

Yes, it has $20 to $30 per wave written all over it... I crunched some numbers, to confirm... Clearly $50 is too much... But USD$75 for 5 waves would probably be the deal... They need to compete with ski fields, water ski parks, etc... Seems that this is actually a "refurbished" water ski park...

It will deal very well with onshore conditions actually... Not enough "fetch" to mess it up too much!....

"Day Rates" would suit the Oil & Gas playboys... book it for the whole day!
