Anyone in Brisbane and the surrounds interested in getting a group together on a somewhat regular basis to do either some flat water training and or some downwinders as we have the Brisbane River and Waterloo / Moreton Bay to play on? Also thinking about some fun days for family & friends out at the lakes followed up by bbq or something?

Any suggestions on how to get this started ie email's, PM's or posting to the forum? Pick a day and start or....?

I am very keen to get some midweek flat water paddles in around Brissy. I go down the coast every weekend but find I need more time on the water. I am going to have a look at a couple places Wednesday around Fig Tree Pocket, Lake Manchester etc.

Maybe just start posting and start in small groups, let the word spread?

Jasdeking - Thanks for the offer of joining Sunshine Coast but it is a long way for a mid week training session. Will get involved in some of the weekend stuff for sure.

LL - Brissie River is (was) before the rain, looking green again, it has cleaned up to what it was pre-flood.

Seabass - Lake Manchester - are you allowed to paddle there? Like you I head to the Gold Coast every weekend (both days) for a paddle. Let us know how you go with the places you were going to check out.

Will keep and eye on the weather and post some stuff on here and hopefully we will get a group together.

Hi,

Just wondering if you ended up getting a group together? I would love to head out before or after work a few days a week, I am on the North side of Bris as well.
