Yer buddies (Jonathan C and Dave) are wearing me out. Six southside runs in five days and they're still smiling. Maliko tomorrow--we'll see how that goes. Might not be quite so happy at first.

Incidentally, for anyone trying to figure out how long to cut a paddle, I wrote a way too complicated article about it on Ke Nalu: http://www.kenalu.com/2010/04/18/measure-twice-cut-once/ . If you aren't completely confused by the end then you aren't trying hard enough.

I've got to go take some ibuprofen and ice my shoulders. Yeah, I know, "harden the f*&$ up"!

Thanks for the update Bill.. Jonathan and I once did about six down-winders in six days straight.. so he's used to it.

When they want to stop for a rest tell they to stop sooking and don't be such a woos.. and if you want to put them off just yell "chewie onya boot!"..

That paddle cutting article is great.

Tell Dave his mate that borrowed his DC 16 for the weekend race came second and beat me using my new Naish Javelin.

Nope, I put my GoPro on the nose of the board the other day, but it didn't get anything useful. We did a Maliko run today--nice one. the guys took a lot of pics, I'm sure they'll share them.

The plan is for a double Maliko tomorrow. If the wind comes up as predicted they should be wild ones might see 25 knots and some NW groundswell. That'll get the pucker factor up.

I'm afraid to ask what a pucker factor is

pucker those sphincters up and hold on for the ride.

Usually said together with a scale assigned to the pucker factor i.e. 1 being not too tight, 9 being hold on to your pants
