I have already made suggestions to AOCRA (Aust Outrigger Canoe Racing Assoc) to have the three board categories ie. 12'6", 14' and Unlimited for both Men and Women and to also then have two age categories being Under 40 and Over 40 yrs. This is for every race in the Sth Zone Series this year as well as for the Nationals at Coffs.

As the sport of SUP racing grows in Aust in the next few years I then suggested adding more age categories to break it down even further eg. Under 20, 20-29, 30-39 and so on. But not this year. Just the two age categories for now. I have spoken with the Organisers of Coffs Nationals and am pretty sure they will adopt these suggestions.

They are aware that we prefer downwinds and are looking at having a 8-12km downwind distance for SUP. Not sure about the 25km again at this stage??

You must be 45.5 yrs old PT ? Sorry I have already suggested Under 40 and Over 40. So you're still gunna have to race the young boys in that division. What ratify ??

I'll pass this on to our meeting on Wednesday night, I will talk to you SUP guys and see what you want, we're open to ideas, whatever's needed to attract SUP's. Any suggestions before Wednesday night would be appreciated. I do know that we want to put on a short course downwind Sawtell to Coffs as well as the big one, so good options for new SUP'ers.

Cept you forgot all the 14' boards. DJ would be shattered. So would all the Vortice and other new Naish 14' Glide owners.

Need to include this board category and then they'd be something for everyone.

No , a 14' div would have to be incorporated in mens . ladies . open and over 45s to make things fair.
