GSI DEMO BOARDS

GSI will have 3 race/tour boards plus 9 surf SUPs and new 2012 Trident paddles all available for Demo.


We are going to run our normal expression session format with a follow up BBQ and flat water paddle on the river (18W).

If there is enough interest from the more accomplished, competitive SUPers we will run some short heats for them to push each others surfing and put on a good show.

Don't forget to bring sunscreen and leg ropes are compulsory.

Rich and a few of the guys got a wave there too about 2.30 it was clean and offshore with rights and lefts all over the shop.

Interested to see and surf the Allwave when you come down. I have heard the Allwaves rip but havent seen one in the flesh at this point!

I spoke to the magnanimous King Warwick of RPS who checked the books and said I can bring the Allwave down to OG on RPS's behalf. Remember this board can also be used for Windsurfing (though why you would do that I don't know). See you Sunday Phil barring a curse of immobility (custody issues) from Madam Beelzebub.

See how you go Leroy if you can bring it that would be a bonus.

I've put a couple of mates on them who surf well and they're rating them compared to what they were previously on.

I was supposed to return it on Wednesday, but I'll ring RPS( That fantastic Melbourne Institution) and see if they'll let me keep it till today week. If they have it booked in for another demo with someone else I don't like my chances. Sands you're welcome to take photos of me tomorrow , I'll be at Raffs around 6.25 am tomorrow, but if thats not working I'll check out OG and then PRK. On Sunday come down and have a go. You won't regret it. My mate is riding a Starby 8'5" Pocket Rocket. Except for the stinger and the lack of Volume in the Starby they look the same. Probably out of the same factory in Thailand. As I said Phill this 9'6" is more stable than the 10'2" paddler!!!!! I'll let you ride them both. The Fanatic is about half the weight and around 25% more manouverable. That's why I'm going the 9'2". They surf like a Fish, 2 ft shorter IMHO. Either I had my best day of surfing since I was 25 or this board is GOOD! King Warwick is spot on!!!!!

The latest swell reports are predicting smaller waves for Sunday , so we have a back up plan as its going to be a warm sunny day, perfect for a paddle!

If the swell is too small for the area right of Raff's as marked on picture below, we will move to Ocean Grove main beach (left side of boat ramp) where we ran our last event.
This is a perfect site for all skill levels, here's a few pic's from the event ran there……….
