Hey T, why don't you get on the US stand up paddle forum and just put it out there. You may be able to offer reciprocal arrangement.

cheers

hhmm not sure about hire buddy. I know alot of the riders struggle to even get boards themselves sometimes over there.
If i see anything i will let you know. What race you planning on doing? The open or BOP?

I would suggest an alternative: instead of renting, buy a board remotely and put immediately an ad to sell it after your race.

I have just done this for my trip in Hossegor, I bought a "big wave semi-gun" SUP that I immediately put for sale for after my trip, since I would not have had its use at my local spot. Got sold to a local guy there in less than one day after the ad was posted. Done this also for surfboards when travelling to the US.

Agree of a price in case of normal wear, and some rebate (price of repairs?) in case of damage. And if you buy at a shop, they even may buy it back from you (although this seems unlikely in my experience)

After seeing that shore dump at last year's race, I can understand why the smart business operators in Southern California are NOT climbing over each other to set up hire facilities for BOP. Although inflatables would be a good option - you'd be spared a massive repair bill.

got to see the inflatable boards in action for the first time, even tho it looks fun i've changed my mind on them being used for serious races in their present phrase of design evolution.

guess i should have looked at them first hand in the first place
