Pts board looks good but for the funny bit under the nose which he looks like he has to nurse.
he'll deny it of course
To sb-why. Why.why. its one the nicest nose shapes ive ever seen except of the funny reverse bit.
Careful you don't confuse my poor technique for design flaws in the board. I'm trying to iron out some bad habits brought on by down winding on an Ace for so many years.
As for the interesting hull bump, I'm not sure what the story is with that, but I suspect it might have some basis in feeding the centre concave, or more to the point, starving the concave of water contact so an air pocket is created. Who knows.
I will say one thing just to prove every comment I make is not all fawning pro-Starboard... the fin box on this board is really small. I couldn't fit my favourite Slater Trout FCS fin, which is hardly a monster at the base. Don't know why he did this but again, probably has something to do with preserving the concave air pocket.
Overall though, still loving this board. It gets on the plane nicely, though for the 15-23 knot bay DW that we encountered on this day, a 14' Ace would have been faster. Only problem is, if I had one of those, I would have had to stop and wait for all those SIC boards.
