Just got back from there 3 weeks ago. After a big swell in Bali it unfortunately all disappeared in Lembongan. Sup hire at Mushroom Bay, right next to Playground,s is easy and around $5/hr. There are a few locals renting them from there. They predominately have Suphunter Balinese boards which were in pretty good condition. I was paddling a 9"5' x 31" which they seemed to have a few of, plus they had bigger boards as well.
A few people including myself were catching a few at playgrounds. A few other guys were getting a few zippy waves out past lacerations towards shipwrecks. Any sign of real surf and things got pretty crowded for the surfers.

PS The boards were good but the paddles aren't. Too short, aluminium shaft and plastic blades.

second all that
can sit inside at playgrounds and get reforms that go in a long way
does get busy and i dont like how some inexperienced clowns on mals & SUPs run thru the pack of largely kids (not suggesting u are one but you get the drift)
easy enough to get a few and not be a menace
next bay around i have seen SUPs on a reef too

FYI, you can rent from most of Bali SUP business and take the boards to Lembongan with you if you are looking for a high quality board and paddle.
In our case we do deliver to the Ferry to Lembongan free of charge.
