Hi Guys
please excuse if this is a previous topic. I am planning on taking the wife over to Bali at the start of June (very soon -).
I've heard the swell is better on one side of the island compared to the other at different times of the year due to the prevailling winds of the season. For June which is better Sanur or Seminyak?
If Seminyak, who is the SUP hire guy there?
Thanks

I SUPed Sanur region last June. The wind was moderate onshore by about 9- 10am. Before that it was glassy. Bukit and West coast were consistently glassy or offshore.

I'll be over in Bali again in mid-late August, staying on the West coast- mainly SUPing.

You can google it... there are some travel surf web sites to confirm better times of year for different regions, coasts, etc...

But Bali West Side is best from around May-Sep or even Apr-Oct, and East Side Nov-Mar. Wet Season / Dry Season issue.

West Side, is lefts, Goofy Footer Heaven, and East Side is Rights, Natural Footer Heaven.... Plan your trip accordingly !!

Yes, early with no wind, both sides can be working.

If you taking better half and she not too surf inclined - head to Bukit, MU Bali is best place but others pretty damn fine with budgets.

You get Impossibles - great SUP, Bingin, Dreamland and get to see the French boys on 8' boards in 10' surf.

Jerome has 4 boards and both he and other half serious surfers, Olympic windies and suppers.
