I guess the gopro has gotten bit of a name for only filming the person holding it but for me this is what these cameras are all about!! Not the selfish cam but the mates cam!!

Yes, just with a roll bar mount.

Nice ad for the Fanatic Fly Race. Makes me want to dash out and buy a 12'6" board. Especially on a light wind, small swell, sunny day in Melbourne.

BTW There will be a special place in hell reserved for Go Pro and helmet cams. [}:)]

Why not just put an advertisement up instead. Sorry, but straight ahead surfing on "race Boards" in 2 foot waves backed by some gay soundtrack isn't all that appealing.........1 star.

Pretty much like taking any board in the waves, you break it then suck it up and move on.

If you think i'am advertising then complain to Laurie, by the way there was guys on surf boards out there who could not get on the waves and any one else on a small sup was doing the same thing going straight it's called enjoying the ocean maybe you should try it some time?

I love surfing long 1 foot bumps on a big dw board - I think you captured the experience.

Oh just read logman - can't agree. Good stuff, I don't see any pimping here.

Great job Jacko! Did the same thing out there on Saturday arvo. Riding unbroken waves for about 100 metres! Could only do it on a big SUP. As for spruiking the Fanatics, not unusual to have 4 out at once. Every second board in Currumbin Creek is a Fanatic! Could have something to do with how good they are. (and no I don't have one)

I will start my post by stating that I don't know anybody on Seebreeze personally. I started supping in Feb and have been on Seebreeze since March. In this time I have figured out who is who and who owns what shop, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed Jacko's vid as I mentioned in reply post. I think some of you blokes need to relax a bit and enjoy the benefits that this website offers. No obvious pimping from my observations. Keep em coming.

To each his own I suppose, but having just bought a 12'6" BOP style race board and just now discovering the joys of 2 foot waves, I find this video highly appealing. 5 stars.

And I agree with the OP, the best use of GoPro is shooting friends on a party wave. Though the extreme wide lenses mean you have to get pretty close, which makes this video even more impressive.

You can now get an LCD screen as an optional accessory but it only works on the HD model.

Cheers PTW. Can the LCD be used when filming or only for playback ?

I distinctly saw some turns being made so it counts as surfing, although I would be perfectly happy trimming in a straight line on lumps like those.

As more of a thread hijack, unless it is essential for the board's performance, I reckon raceboard manufacturers should continue the deck grip towards the tail, and make the tail so you can stand on it.

If I'm on a board, and there's a wave going by then I want to catch it and ride it!
