Feeling your pain. Went for a windsurf in overpowered conditions, followed by a few hours on a shovel and crowbar a month or so ago. Luckily it hasn't affected my SUP time although a solid handshake nearly brings me to tears.

Yea it's not nice eh I'm lucky a good mate is a head physio and my aches and pains are seen early before injuries are long term
I'm told no sup for 2 to 3 days
Bloody hard to do though and when it been clean
But if you tear the tendon off the bicep then then there goes 6 months of no sup or bugger all of anything

I sit hear reading your post recovering from surgery to reattach my distal bicep tendon from the radius bone. It has been 7 1/2 weeks since surgery and im currently lifting 7kg. I had pain and same symptoms in that region for 18mths prior. I suggest you get yourself an MRI as xray and ultrasound is not definative. Yes I was told initially just a strain rest and had physio. Hope to be back paddle in 4 weeks.
