Jeez Jon eb, that hurricane looks like a pimple I had on my chin just before my grade 10 leavers dinner. If the same thing happens to the east coast that happened to my chin, the whole coast and gulf will be covered in meters of pus(is this the first time on this site that the word pus has been used)

I was going to say a similar thing, I use the word all the time just backwards.

Yeah Oliver looking big. Wind is going to be a pain though. You know the spot!

Being a 40kn+ W and crossing a shipping channel would It be completely insane to suggest a downwinder Altona to Brighton East on Wednesday? I'm sure it would be scary as all hell.

If it's really full on West maybe Pt Cook to Brighton. In that sort of wind there will 4m swell in the Bay - call me a wimp or just giving into the water police but life jackets mightn't be so silly for that one! I'm in too.

i was a firefighter in the raaf at pt cook, ive seen 10-12 ft waves breaking over the pt cook pier a couple of times,,low tide there and the deck of the pier is that far out of the water and waves will break well over it,very scary place, port phillip in a storm

GOOD LUCK on Wednesday Guys!
Its gunna be honkin'
When it comes to crossing the path
of ships in a channel.... the best rule
is aim for his stern and cross behind.
IMO.

We did a test run today.. .. It was a solid 35-40 knots.. Big waves and non stop runners..

We did see a port security boat cross in front of us.. It stuffed up our waves for a couple of minutes.. That's all..
