Why do some kite surfers have fins at both ends of their boards when they could easily just have fins at one end. And why do guys where wetsuits with long arms when they could easily where short arm wetsuits. Some people are just mad, crazy as coconuts.

By supers I assume you mean SUPers.

It all depends, IMHO, what you like to SUP surf. Young guys like Geoff Breen and Keahi ride short performance SUP's. The DOGMAN rides a variety of different Surf SUP's.

Lord Laird Hamilton rides 10 footers.

It depends on what you like and what you like to do.

Some guys like to throw boards around others like to cruise.

That's the good thing about SUP, you can do just about anything you want.

Cheers.

Small SUPs need a steeper wave to take off. Longer SUPs can run down an unbroken swell.

Apart from catching more waves, that might not be caught by anybody otherwise, you get to ride the swell before it breaks and drop into the wave as it pitches. It's a whole extra experience and several seconds more riding for free.

Spot on , went out on my short sup this morning and got dropped in on , on every wave mainly other suppersUsually I ride longer sups in this spot because I can sit wide and catch all the waves I want with no hassles
