after reading Bnaccas post about his new board plans I'm all fired up. My new project ........an Alrounder. Bit underwhelming really. But I recon I could be spending a fair bit of time on it over summer on the surf coast. Here's the plan... 12'ish x 29"ishx4"ish. Sounds dull does'nt it but I want it to do many things. Small to medium wave cruiser at Roadknight or Torquay, big wave chaser with the double ended paddle at Wye river point, and that bommy off the Lorne pier, learner board for the friends( I don't know about everybody else but how many friends want a go on your board!!!!),Fishing platform, downwinder, flat water Yarra river cruiser for those late summer evening cruises that DJ organizes. Isn't that an unreal list, to think one craft could do all that is truly amazing ( Imagine paddling a 6'6" shortboard up the yarra river for fun).OK, so I know some of you smart arses will say get an NSP 11 or Naish 11' 6" but I want it to surf like the PSH 12 and glide like the Starboard 12'6 ,be as stable as a Whopper(some of those snapper can be pretty big)and catch runners on the bay like DJs 14' . I know it's an impossible board to build but geez I'm gonna have fun trying.............................Gentlemen start your engines!

Yep sounds good. The first board I plan to build next week resenbles what you're saying but it won't be chasing big waves. I have a plan for a Gun specifically designed for bombies.

I often see that wave out the back of lorne. Looks good. I think summer could see it riden by a few of us. Let me know if you are hitting it on a weekend.

Cheers
Brendan

You'd need a fast board and a low tide.
