Just hoping that someone can recommend what to put on a new board cover zip to stop it from sticking later in its life

Spray crc on the zip every now and again

I would use a silicon spray over crc, wd40, rp7 and the like. Less greasy and sticky for things like sand

if you want to get really exxy go to a sailing shop and get a tin of McLube.
It's a dry silicone lubricant
Exxy as I said, but then so are board covers...
