I had a Nash Mana explode in my van on a hot day a few years back totally destroyed the board, so ever since then i always remove the vent plug from my boards with there in my van and iv never had a problem since. My question is i just got a new board a Fanatic wavepro and notice they dont have any vents in them, has anyone had any problems with them in hot cars ect. Is it worth considering getting a vent put in the board as i cant always avoid parking my van in the sun

Drop your windows and inch or two. Makes a world of difference to the temperature.

My All Waves has no vent either Mr karl69.

I don't keep it in a van but I do live in Qld and it is often on the roof of my car for periods of time.

I have never had a problem with it. No "time bombs", no cracks nothing at all.

I am reasonably careful with it but not over the top.

Anyways, closed cell foam or not, board life is shortened by high temperatures.
The trick of lowering the side windows by 1" works wonders.

What about ventless boards at altitude in cargo hold of a30's etc. do they suffer damage?
