I am sure that Rod, Dale, Stuey etc all have the same production issue. There is only one of them and they can only do so much.

I laugh when I have seen all the comments about everyone should get Aussie shapers to supply thier boards. The simple fact is they dont have anywhere near enough production capacity. The other way is they go overseas like everyone else. Hmmmmmmm isnt that interesting!

Phill

Not the case for Dale he has a CNC machine and a whole team behind him drop him a line he can help you out.
This is my latest Board from him.

Rob

surfshapes are $1100.00 aud with deckgrip and fixed fins,$150.00 more for removable fins due to the extra strenghening and work, still a bargain price for a custom,my 9.0 weighs 9kg.

right now i cant contact him either so if you need to move on try laguna bay as well as dale chapman, they both do great boards, laguna will cost maybe $1500/1600 aud ,dc i dont know probably the same but they have overheads that surfshapes hasnt got hence the price difference, other than that, fly to hawaii and get a blane chambers custom

He's probably written you off as just another sweaty guy.

Years ago I worked in an import record store and we had quite a few fanatics who would come in and ask if <<insert artist here>> had any new records. These fanatics were often very sweaty.

Yeah, good point SM. The sweaty guys were more like stalkers than fanatics.

The last time I was in New Zealand I asked someone where I could get a bottle of water the response was "from the dairy bro"

What's a dairy?

i guess by the time you convert aussie $ into south seas peso you pay a **load for a board, get one of your talented shapers to do one for you, surely you can find a kiwi with knowledge to do an epoxy 10.0 for you,it not rocket science if you have a surfing background and know what you wantother than that bro, give it a rest

This is pretty simple Rod alias Board bumps needs to make contact and explain his situation. I have paid a deposit on a new board and hope he fulfills his side of the contract.
However he has not given me a delivery date or start date. The original start date was first week in July.
Where are you Rod ?

Maybe Rod has more important things to do rather that being on his phone or computer.. Like making peoples boards..

That's not good business. I understand Rod is a one man show and how hard that must be. I also have a Surfshapes board and paddle and am very happy with both of them. But I won't keep reccomending Rod to people if he leaves them hanging like that.

Hi ThOmmO, my intention was to get the paddle, check it out then follow up with an order for a board, this was before Rod got "busy". I finished up making my own board, very happy with the results, quality & performance but still have my old clunker Alloy/plastic paddle tho....

Hi Lfish, your board looks great, well done. If you get sick of waiting for Rod and want a good paddle at a reasonable price, check out Kiakaha paddles.

Good call log man, Rod is a good bloke, pretty sure he's not trying to shaft anyone but is just going through a rough stage.

Some of you guys might like to ease back a little till we know what's really happening. If someone lives close and knows Rod I think a personal visit would be a great thing.

Oky doky .. this is a friendly forum.

A bunch of abuse & name calling has been removed, (and some non-abusive, but where the abuse was quoted etc).

Anybody who abuses anybody else gets suspended, especially after the posts are removed, and then they come back to abuse more. Seabreeze is an open forum, but it has a policy of fairplay
www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Help/ForumRules.aspx .

If you ever get to the point where you're calling people names in an internet forum, then it's time to step away from the computer and get some fresh air. Life is bigger.
