Hello friends,
after so much talking about what board to take I couldn't resist anymore and picked up the South Point Bonga 10'...
First day I had a trauma! At 70 kilos I could paddle it nicely in flat water but take allot of effort as is very tippy, basically you can't really relax and always have to keep in balance....
When I finally made it to the wave at Sanur Baby reef (20 minutes paddling) I couldn't really catch waves as I was doing with my Mistral....
I had to move more in the deeper section. Is like the difference you have in surfing between a long board and a short board..... But once I was able to get in WOW so loose and nice to ride... Speed is not a problem anymore and is very easy to turn and so loose.
Today second day I had 2 session and got it more dialed in, is really unbeliveable in the waves. I just wish for 2 inch more of width... to be able to relax more...
Final thoughts: Great board for advance light rider! need some real waves to shine.
If anyone come to Bali get in touch.
Bye Jankie
PS. my Starboard are on the way!!! maybe 3 weeks away...
