Is it just me or do other forum users find that there is a inner circle in the sup forum?
I log in from time to time and have worked out who the networkers are and the bum lickers are
I often see that some forum users are completely ignored when they post a reply.
What do you think?

I posted a thank you to people who have helped Kristi and I out as we are very greatful and got red thumbed.

I thought it was just plain polite to say thank you? Maybe I was wrong?

There is no rhyme or reason to it.

You soon work out who is behind the sport and who is behind a keyboard!

Take it for what it is light entertainment.

"Inner circle" IMO is just a bunch of mates that SUP locally together using the forum to catch up and share stories. The folks that have been around surfing/suping a while will use the forum to stay in touch with interstate/ overseas mates.

I'm only new to this forum - I see it no different to other forums in other sports that i have used over the years.

I reckon a post has no entitlement to a reply - some posts get attention and some don't...

SHAME on them lol and some say they receive no kick backs for PIMPING their rides get with the inner sanctum guaranteed to save you dollars

All good Lacey, house is all good BUT I want one of those BALI huts down the side so MAC can chill out with the out circle crew lol.
However the shop needs some TLC,on the inside, a little internal wall fix ups and paint and a handyman to cut a log off the shop front so I can glue a huge Budda to match the others. Have you driven past ?

For gawds sake stop staring at your belly buttons and go for a paddle you guys. IMO its all about a bit of fun, some advice, a way to meet like minded people and a chance to give your mates a hard time on line.

Not as if there are some secret meetings of the inner sanctum with Laurie in charge in a hat with horns on to decide who to teach the secret hand shake too, if your post isn't replied too it's because it didn't spark anyone's imagination.

I'm going to tell it how it is, and the truth is "the forum is what it is" and most of the time that's good.

There are tossers who bang about the same stuff week after week - they are good; newbies wanting advice - they are good: ****stirers can be great - to a point; pimps are good; peeps just letting us know their recent experiences are often good; cautious contributors, who think long and hard what they post, often turn out just like they are - dull. Bad spellers - they should be kicked off the forum. There are really passionate people, who just want to share what they know - they are great. Then there are readers. I don't know what to make of them.

What I have noticed is that the majority of us are likely to be over 40 and suffer from either baldness, obesity or some other insecurity. Oh yeah, I think most of us supers are a little eccentric. Obviously a lot of us, enjoy taking pictures of ourselves having a blast and posting them on the internet in an attempt to recapture our youth.

I go on and off the forum, but will always read it - because I generally enjoy it. I don't think there are clubs going on. The forum is a forum and it's real life that matters.

Oh yeah about the thumbs.... my posts always get green thumbs. So I don't know why the rest of you seem to be so focused on the red ones.
