Hi guys,
I snapped my Kialoa Shaka pu. I was paddling for a wave and snap....no resistance so I went tumbling forward into the water. Probably pretty funny to see but I'm gutted that its snapped. Does anyone know where/if I can get it fixed? is there any warranty on these things? I cant find the receipt from when I bought it actually so warranty is probably out of the question.
Cheers

Bummer.. .. You can buy and fit a new shaft if it's not covered by warranty.

I think the smaller blades that most of us are using (Methane and Pipes) puts less load on the shaft and lessens the chance of it ever breaking.. I wonder.

Get your local Kialoa dealer to check with Kialoa about it.. If you need help on fiting a new shaft I did one for a friend once so I've been through it.. It's not hard.

bummer dude, as per DJ it seems you can replace shafts if not under warranty, but check with retailer before you go spending clams on new shafts when you may be in for a replacement? how old is the paddle?

there is only 3 square inches difference between the shaka puu (100sq") and the methane (97sq") so it seems this is not the issue, you must be an animal! good luck!

Yeah cheers guys, I called Sam from kialoa and I'm getting a new shaft. DJ, I might need a few tips if I get stuck on it next week. This one was about a year old, its the second one I've managed to snap so I may have to go a bit easier on them.
