Going to Broome for 9 days in July, anyone paddled there? I know it will be a fantastic spot to flat water paddle just wondering if there are any waves that time of year.

Thanks

Not a lot on offer up there at that time of the year. You can get surf up there but its not consistent and lacks any power. Generally you get about knee high waves but its very tide dependant also. They hire out mals at Cable beach but I'm not sure about Sups. Would be a great paddle from Cable beach to Willies creek but the salties may be a bit of a problem.
Cheers

Think I'll just take my 8'5 and muck around in the little waves anyway, maybe a big salty won't feel so threatened by such a small board. I hear they come up underneath you and give a bump to scare you out of their territory - pretty sure that would scare me!

Great flat water paddling up there. Never done it but been up there on holiday the colours are awesome.

Cable beach does break about 2-4 times a year

Tides are huge there would be good to see the stairway to Heaven on a SUP when the tide is at the right height and there is a full moon.
