Here a few shots of last weekend at Cabarita .

This is a shot where a knee board rider cut almost 3 inches off the front of my board I was paddling out and was on a set of trains tracks just heading straight for me

I just set my own web site www.vonpiros.com which is pretty much dedicated to SUP phtography. It's still in it's early stages but there are heaps of sup pics to look at.

Here a few shots of last weekend at Cabarita and there is heaps more on the site.

Great photos Piros,

Really like the second photo for the groovy hexaganal reflections and and the fourth shot for the Ugh boots.

What's going on with fashion sense up your way - Ugh boots and that metal Mulisha stuff. Don't really see that in vicco. It's all very cafe latte here.

The GC is a pretty small town.... do you know of myspace.com/timsharky

The metal mulisha logo just reminded me of him - I've known of him for years and always see him every single year, random people tell me stories about him - for years I've heard this and that - but I'm none the wiser really. I've been trying to piece it all together.

All I know is he owns clubs and used to own a loan shark business, he was once in the Finks, and was charged a couple of years ago with beating an 80yo man, he has a massive tattoo on his back saying "**** authority" and every time I see him he has a new car whether that be a Lamborgini, Bentliegh or Ferrari.

He just seems so GC to me.

I don't know, he - tim ward - may own a sup. I used to have Ugh boots but that was in the 80's they weren't really like gum boots - because they would get wet and soggy.

A friend of mine was part of the original UGG crew, he's told me different stories but he may have been the creator!

I think they are an aussie invention. Last week while at Anglesee I saw that the surf shop were selling them. Maybe they will take over from crocks - I wonder if you can get them with metal mulisha logos branded onto them - that would be cool?

Oliver:-
Yeah you're right Oliver he is a Gold Coast boy you often see him on his Harley with a pair of ugh boots......

Lacey:-
Yeah this poor board has been to hell and back , it's had all 4 fin boxes replaced twice , major tail damage , the nose had been repaired twice before probably why it let go so bad this time , plus it's had a couple of nasty rail dings. It will be rebuilt stronger and better than before.

I rode the board for almost 2 hours with no nose and when I got home to drain it there was no water in it....? must be a close cell poly foam...?

Rob, how do you find the 5d for action shots?

I am considering investing in one but a number of reviews have said the 5d isn't the first choice for this sort of work - being a Canon person and not going to be lashing out on a 1D anytime soon it may be only option anyway. Also intersted to hear how you find the 100-400 lens.
