The best ways are being a member of one of the following, but still no guarantee;
MCC, AFL, or either club playing on the day.

Another sure way, is cough up between $1200 and $2000 on one of the club breakfast / all day packages.

Oh, if you've managed to play 200+ Senior AFL Games, you will get in....

MCC drop a bunch of tickets onto the market on Grand Final morning, but you still need to be an MCC member (15 year waiting list).

You might get lucky with a General Admission Standing Room ticket on the day....

But essentially, they are very very difficult to come across....

PS - I'm after a ticket too !! Hopefully I can secure a ticket via my Club Membership, but no guarantee....

each AFL club gets some grand final tickets,
see if you can join the new Gold Coast club and then get a GF ticket through them as they would have bugger all supporters at the moment,

I waited 18 years to be a MCC member then handed it back in when I never used it,
reckon it would be about 6 or $700 a year to be a member now,
cheers.

No harm in presenting yourself at the ticket windows at 10am on the day .... They can only say no, yes, or just have the shutters down....

I got lucky.
A couple of mates of mine who go each year asked my missus if I could go and watch the GF with them. She insisted I go.
They then said they were going to Bali to watch it on a big screen at some pub and surf a couple of days before and after, as its cheaper.
Gotta love ya scheming mates....
