Aloha
shot this video in monochrome. No color correction in editing just slowed some footage down. Hope you enjoy.

Great video Byron, has a really cool retro feel with the slightly sepia tone - offset with crazy totally 'now' riding and tricks. You're an artist

Cool vid, not sure about shooting in monochrome though. I would think it better to convert the movie in post so as to retain a colour original if you ever wanted.

Still nice work, I always enjoy your vids and always find there is something I can learn from watching your boy.

Thanks. I would have shot in color but late day with sun in background. Wanted to try something different.

That Canon sensor is incredible. Nice shooting, good choice of music, well edited. And the riding is just ridiculous. There's a two foot hop he does at one pint while riding the board backwards allowing the board to come around - unbelievable.

Regarding the B/W shooting, one thing I would be inclined to do regardless of how you shoot is to grade this by pulling the blacks... just a little more contrast as the late afternoon light has left you with everything sitting in the middle of the scale, no whites or blacks. I think this would highlight your subject better.

But excellent work nonetheless.
