I'm not sure if Sue's new Vortice is carbon fiber but Evan has a couple of vids showing one on his blog site..

I noticed right at the end of the second vid I can see that funny little aerial..

I agree with the comment about needing to stand way forward to catch those runners and be fast.

Yes that is the same as my board and yes those guys were both standing way too far back. On the second Vid the tail was sinking. You need to keep the nose down so it doesn't "push" water. Not sure the weight of these guys but I think these boards are for lighter people. When first deciding to buy it I asked Todd Bradley if Danny would be ok on it (6'4" and 100kg). He said he should be ok and considering he is such a skilled waterman that would help and he would be fine. He's only taken it out once and done one downwind on it and said it was extremely hard work. So he's all trained up and is now tapering for the Seaway with Woogie ??

P.S. If you want your wife or hubby to lose some kg's get a downwind board for them for X-Mas. I lost 3kg the first week I had my Vortice from being on it everyday and doing 2 downwinds.

No just on a major de-tox. The Natrapath and Vortice arrived onthe same day !!
