We are having a get togeather of anyone who is interested in forming a SUP Club on the Central Coast. Sunday August 15th at 7am if you are keen to go for a paddle meet at the Toowoon Bay surf club and if its smaller and clean we will paddle down to nth Shelly for a surf or if its big or the wind is southerly we will stay at Toowoon for a wave.
If you do not want to surf we will then all sit down at 9am with a Coffee on the grass by the Surf club and have a descussion about what you want from your Club and any Ideas you may have!!! I have got the paper work for Insurance and a list of the other costs involved in settting up a Club. Let anyone you know how may be interested to be there, See you all for a coffee. Rod and Adam

The forecast is looking good at the moment, light NW wind with some south swell so NTh shelly should be good. I will park at Toowoon bay then paddle down to Nth shelly (200mtrs)at about 7am for all those keen for a surf.
Also Quinny from FANATIC has said he will drive up from Sydney for the morning and is going to have the new 12'6 race board 9' and 9'6 surf sups with him for those who may want to try them..
Just try to remember guys and girls its Sunday morning so If we have 20 to 30 SUPs show up lets try to give the sunday surfers a fair go as well, keep the vide positive.
Looking forward to meeting all the new faces, alot of crew have all ready come up and introed themselves and said they will be there.

PLEASE...DO NOT even think about paddling over to Blue Bay. This is my local break and I'm tolerated there at the moment on my SUP but if a ****eload of paddle boarders turn up I'll be pelted with rocks next time I show up.
Nth Shelly is the go OR Toowoony Point as we can keep out of the way or paddle to mid bar if Nth Shelly Point is too packed.
Please consider others...
Alternatively, I was thinking North Entrance is a good place for possible future meetings as you have flat water paddling and a good break for surfing just north of The Entrance Channel. Dunleith Caravan Park is ideal for parking and has toilets and a BBQ but, alas, no coffee.
Something to think about as summer comes along and the Nippers invade Toowoon Bay and we can't get a car park.

Hey Wodenau - what board do you ride at Blue bay, I have been paddleboarding there for 2 years but im only half tolerated, but I dont really care what the whingers think, but I still give them the pocket and stay wide.

Thats kind of what I ment when I said give the other surfers a fair go..I would not send 30 sup riders to Blue bay and expect to ever surf in the area again.
Nth Entrance would be a pick for an event for sure, Toowoon bay was just a pick for this gathering for a chat and a coffee, I was thinking about 4 events, 2 in Gosford shire beaches and 2 in wyong shire beaches and each time a different location, So we try and not upset the local surfers at any 1 location. Then some club weekends away, all suggestions welcome. Come and have your say in the Club on Sunday.
