Guys,
Have been surfing my new 9'6" All Wave in a variety of conditions recently and am very happy with the results. However, I find cut-backs and bottom turns a bit sluggish and too reliant on the paddle. I am considering a centre fin upgrade from the standard 5.5".
Has anyone out there changed up recently? To what and what are the results?
Thansk for you help in advance.
ET.

5.5" would be great if you were to add some 5.5" to the front also and push the back fin back into a thruster type set up.

Try the Shapers S9's. They'd bring that board to life immeasurably.

Haven't tried different setups on the 9'6", but on the 8'10" & 9'2" all wave I loved the Gerry Lopez thrusters with a FCS (in converter box) M5 trailer. The way the AllWaves surf I can imagine this would feel awesome in the 9'6" also. Definitely worth a shot, especially in smaller waves.

Much appreciated feedback. Have had designs of swapping out fins for something else for the 9'2.
Thanks for the post E T .

+1 on that! Shapers Fins are great! Heaps cheaper than fcs and futures brand too. The S9 would be a great choice.

i got on my 810 allwave and prowave 92 a 4in futuire fins rear fin and the jamie mitchell side fins (5.5in) nice and loose but also seems to hold well even in bigger stuff.

I just swapped the 7" centre from My PSH Paddler with the standard Allwave (it's a 9'2" x 31.5). It's made both boards better. The Allwave snaps around now and the Paddller is now nice and skatey in the smaller waves when now use it. It helps if you have the finger adjustable titanium centre fin screws that DJ talked about. They are really easy to adjust while you're in the water.
