Hi Guys.
First post here... hoping to get some advice as i cant seem to find this kind of thing having happened anywhere on this or other forums! Basically i hit a rock while riding a wave in on my Fone 8'10 SUP. It hit the centre fin head on and instead of ripping the fin or the fin box out of the board it seemed to just pop the fin backwards and caused only the slide adjustment rail in the box to crack and crack the centre of the box to expose the EPS of the board. Only minor water damage occured as it was the end of the session. The centre box is completely intact still with no signs of crack or stress (very impressed with the strength that the centre box didnt pop out) so obviously i dont want to replace the ENTIRE centre fin box as its not broken around the edges. The issue is the centre rail is broken where the centre fins metal dowel was sitting and cracked through the centre of the box to crack the plastic at the bottom. What would you guys suggest i do to repair it ? I was thinking of just picking the cracked broken pieces of the plastic out from the bottom of the box and then using fibre glass to prevent any water leaks to the eps at the bottom of the box. What do you guys think?

See pictures below!

Replace entire box. The damage will make the box twist and eventually work its way out with a lot of water damage in the process. It's not a difficult repair for a guy who knows what he is doing.
