Chris came 3rd at Nelscott big wave paddle in event - Apparently all on beach thought he won, and congratulated him when heat came in.
He then SUPed Massive Nelscott REEF - first ever to Ride it HUGE on a SUP

Thanks for the post, Kingdom

What happened to Twiggy at this event (I didn't see his name anywhere).

Keep sending us your news from South Africa as there is some good stuff coming from over there. Someone needs to get hold of Casso and feed him news for his mag.

WELL DONE CHRIS - you make us all proud!!!!

Twiggy didn't make it across the pond in time, so he came to Langebaan (1hr north of Cape Town) and came second in a Kite course race event instead.

He claims he'd have won if he had known where the finish was, as he was forced to follow the eventual winner Grant Ross......

By the way: PeterP won the 7Km Paddle race at the same Langebaan event. He also took second at a time trial event last Thursday in Cape Town. Well done PeterP!

Good to see you guys starting to do some distance stuff as well. Dale Chapman and I will be working with Jason Ribbink to help him with some long distance boards. Get in touch with him as you guys don't need to reinvent the wheel - we are doing plenty of R&D over here.

One of these day we will have to have a crack at the PE-EL ski race on SUP. This will be the most hardcore event that I can think of. I did it many years ago on a double ski and it will be an epic accomplishment on a SUP.

Thanks for the info guys.

Sorry a bit off topic but I am in Cape Town (Camps Bay) for about a week or two in January and wanted to go for a surf/paddle, do you know if there are any places in or around Camps that hire Sup's?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

No worries, PM me your dates and board preferences and I will see what I can arrange for you. Otherwise there a few SUP schools that operate in the area and will rent you a board. I'll get their contact details and send them to you

The trailer for this looks great.. It's a bit of a slow load but worth the wait.

Love the sunset/sunrise shot at the end of the trailer.
