Simpler, more elegant solution and probably cheaper than some of the loaders that are currently out there. Hope it gets up.
(
Side note: I solved the "loading the heavy plastic kayak" problem by buying a SUP and selling the plastic kayak
)

I solved the problem by rolling up a
beach towel .. placing it on the car
roof .. and sliding the canoe back over that.
Then I instructed my wife in this new
methodology so that she could be more
independent .. and she's never been
canoeing since.
She still prefers me to tag along and do it for her.
but the above product is worthwhile.
