I've been looking at the construction of the Corebans on their website (below). It looks very high tech but can anyone vouch for it being effective ie. Strong and durable?
The coreban boards are out of the same factory (cobra) as the best made production epoxy sups/surfboards on the planet - so you would think it would be safe to assume that the quality of the boards is at least as good as anything else out of cobra.
I have been riding a Coreban boards for sometime now and I have been out on small hollow beach breaks as well as 12-15ft outer reefs. Both me and my board have taken some bad beatings and both of us have survied. Some of my friends have converted to the Coreban boards after their boards have broken in mellow conditions and they are super stoked on the construction of the boards! The Coreban boards are strong... has anyone ever seen a Coreban break?
Yeh, Ivan surf's like a legend. He heads over to Hawaii again next month, he did mention that he was looking to come over there for the Noosa Surf festival this year. So if you see him in the line up paddle over and say hi
