Not that I intend doing this any time soon but I was wondering if it is feesable to Sup from say Pt Leo or Somers across Western Port Bay to Phillip Island. I have not looked up how far that would be but it would be a fair old distance and it has shipping too so there are hazards.
Anyone done it in a group or alone?

Just did a Google search on distance and its 14km across!

Thanks for the info DJ maybe if I get another board it might be fun to do, don't think the 10" mana would be the right craft for that trip?

On a glassy day you could paddle a 10' board across but a 12'6" or14' flat water board would be a much better choice..

On our first crossing we got the ferry across and paddled our boards back.. In 2008 there was only big 11'-11'6"x30" wave board shapes so we had no choice..

I've paddled across and back solo a few times since then.. These days I wouldn't want to be on anything less than 14'..

Maybe I should put it on my bucket list?
