PT and I paddled on the Yarra river through the city of Melbourne from late arvo through sunset and into the night.. There's something special about glassy water on and warm Autumn nigh with a full moon and the shine of the city lights on the water.. Maybe it's the reflectons on the water that takes away the normal poo brown colour of the water..

PT was on the sleek looking new 14x25 Ace Pro.. I was on my 12'6" Glide.

He wanted to give us one of the new water safety brochures that say that we should be wearing PFD's .. I said that we were wearing them (the bum bag type) and you can stick your brochure up ya bum.. and we paddled off.. Just kidding.. He was cool.. Just doing his job I guess.

If you guys enjoyed that night paddle you should come and do the hawkesbury classic in October. 111km on a river, under a full moon with over 600 paddlers cruising through the night. Starts around 4 in the afternoon with finishing time anywhere between 7-11am.
