Hello!!
I was thinking about giving it a shot with making my own custom sup board.. I have the space, I have access to all the equipment required and the knowhow from many friends but what I need help at, is the shaping. I have created some shapes-designs on my pc but dont actually know if this shape will work. Is there anywhere I can find the designs of already existing boards or custom board(that we know tbat works)to study and better understand rocker, concaves, rail shape etc?? I think that trial and error would also work but sounds a big waste of material and time...

Hi there. Not sure if this is exactly what your after but it may be useful. These guys do board making workshops. They also sell a sup kit you can basically customise any way you like.
Hope it helps.

They do have a sup board workshop and a sup skeleton. I think its a 9' x 32.

its definitely on there because I've been thinking about doing the same thing!

if you look through the gallery there are some wicked pick of what can be done too

Your best bet is to source a local Polystyrene supplier. Educate yourself with the various grades of Polystyrene, determine which one is best for you and order the size you need. I ordered an M grade Block 9' x 34" x 7 " and it was $115.
