I have had many SUPS all hoping they will make me a world camp.
I am reasonably happy with my current quiver being 10' 6" Naish Nalu, 8' 10" JP pro and 8' 2" X 32" JP pro.

My experience tells me that the best quality/durable, construction boards are in order Jimmy Lewis and then close to each other JP and Starboard, I have had problems with others.

I am reaching a stage of a custom and have gone down this path a couple of times however put of with resale, professional finish including no or very a armature deck grip.

Ok I know performance is key but I am stuck in this confused spot as many off the shelf boards are very good for my needs and have ok resale which I need however, I would like a custom with the other top brand benefits.

Any suggestions as to how I can move On?

check the MINION thread

I have nearly the exact set up as you

10.6 Nalu
X32 8.3 Hokua

I am looking at the MINION

Seems there is heaps of talk about these and If you didn't like it there would be an eager waiting list of hungry buyers.

hope that helps

The whole point of going custom is to be able to specify what you want: strength, finish, deck pad...
Note that you can't have everything: strength, lightness, cheapness. Discuss with your shaper so that he can know your personal compromise
Low resale value is expected, though...

simple, order board without deck grip, source your own and install.

But it seems that deck grip is a little troublesome for a few........
